ENTROPY THIS MONTH

This month old-time Entropy regular Wendy is back from Guildford to
supply her own brand of alternative tunes alongside regular DJs Jim
and Michael. Doors open at 8pm on Saturday 4th June at the Porter Butt
as usual.

ENTROPY LAST MONTH

A warm May night saw Entropy nearly full once more. Lucky 13's visit
bought a handful of Seven regulars along to see what they were missing
out on and they seemed to enjoy themselves. Ruth and Jim both played
their hearts out to get the floor bouncing around and by 11.30 the
place was rocking! As usual, the music ranged from one side of the
alternative scene to the other, leaving no eardrums unscathed...

OTHER NEWS THIS MONTH

Save The Hobgoblin!

Those of us that have lived in Bath for a long time all know The
Hobgoblin. One of the most alternative friendly pubs in Bath, it has
had its ups and downs but over the last few months the new landlords
John and Beccy, have started to turn it around again and make it
somewhere pleasant to go and drink a pint.

Unfortunately the company that owns the Hob doesn't agree and has
given them a couple of weeks to get more people in there or they will
kick them out. Who knows what will happen when a new landlord arrives?
After the loss of Hatchets can we afford to lose the Hob as it now is
too?

If you like the Hob the way it is now why not pop down over the next
couple of weeks and have a pint of their excellent real ale? They have
a petition you can sign in the pub and there is even one online:

On Friday 3rd of June the four main alternative nights are getting
together to help by supplying a DJ each for a night of alternative
tunes at the Hob. Why not pop down there from 7pm onwards for
SevenCordEntUrrection - a night of alternative tunes @ The Hobgoblin.

Alt Bath moves

The burgeoning Alt.Bath community suffered a minor setback in the last
few weeks when the web site seemed to vanish for a few days. The site
was being hosted in Leeds but fell through. Luckily for us, Liam (of
Discord and 7 Crowns fame) has jumped to the rescue and the site is
back up.

If you were using the site before you may find that your link still
points to the old, dead site so please update to the new link below:

RockSoc@Bath

Every year at this time we say goodbye to the University society
committees and welcome their replacements. This year Steven Wood,
Simon Stride, Martyn Orme and Kyle Fortuna will be joining returning
committee members Matt Sissons, Ed Hails and Ella Wilkinson to form
the new committee. Good luck to them all!

Alt Bristol dies!

Some of us have been using the Alt.Bristol forums for many years but
it seems that they have been closed down. A new community has jumped
up to try and replace it called AltZone. You can go along and join the
