ENTROPY THIS MONTH

This month Michael and Jim are joined by Seven's very own Lucky
13. Lucky 13 went down a storm back in May and his return is very
welcome. Expect some cheesy rock mixed in with the usual Entropy
tunes!

Doors open at 8pm on Saturday 2nd July at the Porter Butt on the
London Road.

ENTROPY LAST MONTH

Over the Summer, we always find numbers are a little down compared to
the rest of the year, so we were surprised that so many people came
along - especially clashing with Live8 and a new, indie night in
town. Michael, Juamei and Jonny played some top tunes for those that
trudged over to the Porter Butt and to quote one person there "If
that's a slow night you might be doing something right!"

OTHER NEWS THIS MONTH

Entropy vs Seven.

This month Entropy goers don't need to try and get by with just one
Entropy. Jim, Michael and Juamei are decamping from the Porter for a
second Entropy night down in Seven on Monday, 15th August. Our aim is
to provide the Entropy atmospehere and alt-tunes down at Seven to show
those reprobates just what they're missing! EBM, Noise, Industrial and
Goth will all be in evidence mixed with our usual blend of Indie and
dance tunes.

Why not come along and support us and have a top night out at the same
time. Entrance is £1.50 for Seven members, £2 for RockSoc members, £2.50
for NUS and £3.50 for everyone else. We hope to see some of you there...

New Seven Site

The boys at Seven have ben working hard and have given their web site
a once over. Check out the new look and feel!

New Pub, Old Managers.

John and Becky (formerly of the Hobgoblin) are reopening the Royal Oak
on the Lower Bristol Road. The pub has been refitted and has a
well-earnt reputation as one of the best real ale pubs in Bath. The
micro-brewery should be up and running again in the near future.

From Ashes Rise.


Local alt-regular Claire Emba is currently planning to open a new
alternative shop in Bath. She writes:

"Hi, I'm opening a shop here in sunny Bath. It's called From Ashes
Rise.  It might start out life as a market stall while I get funding
for the actual shop building.  We'll be selling cds and band merch,
esp from local up coming bands, clothes (esp fairtrade and alternative
materials), books (esp environmental, political, local authors) and a
variety of 'other stuff'.  When we get the shop, we'll also have a
room for holistic therapies, groups, meetings, anything people want it
for.  We have links with Glasstone Studios and the Bath Music School."

She's looking for ideas, CDs and band merchandise that she could sell
in the shop. If you're interested you can contact her at
