[Entropy] Newsletter, January 2006
Dear All,
Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're
receiving this letter it's because this email address has been

ENTROPY THIS MONTH
Last year the first Saturday of the month was New Year's day and so we
decided to take a month's break. This year we've continued the
tradition and planned to start at the Crown Inn on February the
third.
However, after a chat with the lovely people at the Porter Butt it
looks like we'll be waiting until their license is sorted out and
starting 2006 in our spiritual home (hopefully on April 1st). We will
of course keep you up to date.
ENTROPY LAST MONTH
A new night and a new venue. Thanks to the change in the licensing
laws we're out of the Porter Butt temporarily and so The Crown Inn,
Bathwick became our new home for a night. The venue is a similar size
to the Porter but laid out differently. We spent a fair while
decorating the place and when we'd done it was nearly as good as our
normal venue - we'll need more black sheets and duct tape if we go
back again!
December nights can often be slow, with so many office and family
Christmas parties but by 11pm we had our normal turn out and things
were bouncing along. Less people seemed to want to dance earlier on in
the night but we still managed a healthy dance-floor full by the end!

OTHER NEWS THIS MONTH
Curveball.
Dave (Remix) has let us know about a new, fortnightly alt-night in
Bristol at the Crown Inn by St Nick's market. Starting on Saturday 7th
Januray, Curveball is a new bands and alt-DJs night for only £2 before
midnight! If you like hearing Dave Remix DJ and fancy a few live bands
too, why not pop along and support a new local alt-night?
