   Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're
receiving this letter it's because this email address has been
subscribed to the Entropy Announce list. If you did not

ENTROPY THIS MONTH

No. *sigh*

The ongoing license problems with The Porter Butt meant that we will
not be running Entropy on the 6th of May. We were hoping that
everything would be resolved but Andy is still trying to get hold of
Bath City Council and get their approval for building work to enable
him to host amplified music after 11pm.

We're not even sure if we'll be back there in June and so two things
are now underway. Firstly we're looking for a new venue we can rent on
a Saturday night. If you know Bath you know that it's not easy unless
we wish to go back to the Crown Inn - and many people have expressed
strong opionons against that. The handful of small venues we could
afford on a Saturday night are booked up months in advance but there
are one or two alternatives we're still looking into.

Secondly we're going to run a one-off mid-week Entropy at The
Playground (formerly Ts, where Seven runs) on Tuesday, 13th of
June. Michael, Ruth and I will be there from 9.30pm playing
traditional Entropy tunes until they kick us out. We're expecting a
finish no earlier than 1am, but they'll stay open later if enough
people turn up. We'll be dropping fliers around town and putting
posters up fairly soon. We'll be letting people in free before 11pm
and it'll only cost £2 after that.

We realise that a lot of people who normally pop down to Entropy on a
Saturday can't make the mid-week event and we apologise. For now it's
the best we can do but we are trying to do better.

NEWS THIS MONTH

RockSoc Summer Gig

Once again Bath University's RockSoc has got it together to put on a
summer spectacular. This year sees headliners Reuben supported by 4ft
fingers, The Panic and Fuck Off. Great bands and DJ's from 8pm-2am with
cheap drinks offers to boot (£1.50 carling/worthy's, £2 house doubles).

The RockSoc Summer Gig is on Saturday 13th of May, tickets are £9 (£8
rocksoc) with a £1 non-nus surcharge on the door. Available from The
Parade at lunchtimes, from the SU Box Office, or from the Hobgoblin.

Sisters and New Model Army

If you fancy a trip down into your musical past both the Sisters of
Mercy and New Model Army are playing in the area this month. The
Sisters are playing at the Carling Academy Bristol and New Model Army
are at the Cheese and Grain in Frome.
