[Entropy] Newsletter, July 2006.
Dear All,
Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're
receiving this letter it's because this email address has been
subscribed to the Entropy Announce list. If you did not

ENTROPY THIS MONTH
Entropy at The Playground last month went down well and we've been
offered another slot at the venue in the near future. We will be
talking to The Playground's owners about another night in the near
future but, alas, it will be a school night again.
We contacted the Porter Butt today but there is still no change in
their situation. To recap: They have a late licence, so if you're out
on the London Rd and fancy a late-night pint you know where to go.
However they are not allowed to play amplified music after 11pm,
scuppering our plans for holding Entropy there. Many live music nights
are still run at the Porter Butt but the music finishes at 11pm each
night.
We have been looking for another Saturday night venue for some time
and have not had much luck. There are a number of venues but they
either cost too much for us to consider, suffer similar license
restrictions as the Porter Butt, aren't big enough or just aren't
interested in hosting Entropy. We are in discussions about a Saturday
Entropy in August or September at the moment and will keep you posted!
NEWS THIS MONTH
VNV back in the UK.
VNV Nation will be putting on two gigs in the UK later this year as
part of their latest tour. The gigs will be at Rock City in Nottingham
on October 19th and Slimelight on October 21st. Tickets are available

Hayseed Dixie in Frome.
Straight from the Appalachians these guys are bringing to SOMERSET a
party to be part of! Following the 100,000 selling A Hillbilly Tribute
to AC/DC they have played all around the world. British fans have
taken them into their hearts as they guarantee a spectacular show for
all the family. Your mum and dad can safely relive their favourite
rock classics, your teenagers can rate the new compositions as
awesome! and your instrument playing, music made uncle will
groove as the band grass up Queen, Kiss and Motörhead with aplomb.
Playing at Frome's very own Cheese and Grain on Thursday, 13th of
