ENTROPY THIS MONTH

This month we've managed to organise another mid-week night at The
Playground, under Pultney Bridge in Bath on TUESDAY 22ND AUGUST.

Jim, Michael and Juamei will be playing the usual eclectic mix of all
things Entropy ranging from 80s through Goth and Industrial up to Indie
and dance. As ever our aim is to make you bounce around and have fun.
Miserable people and naysayers can stay away!

Doors open at 9.30pm and entry costs only 2 all night. We should be
open until after midnight but once again it's been agreed that if
enough people come along we'll be open until 2am.

We would appreciate your company ;-)

NEWS THIS MONTH

Discord is moving.

After many years at Babylon, Discord is moving. They can be found at
Po Na Na's on North Parade Road from this Wednesday night. The same
people, the same music just a different night and venue. To celebrate
their new home there is a Relaunch Party this Wednesday.

Discord LIVE!

A few months back Discord started a weekly, Wednesday night in
Bristol. For one reason or another it didn't work out but they're back
again with Discord LIVE mixing live Bristol alt bands with Discord DJs
at The Croft in Stokes Croft, Bristol.

They're kicking off this month on Wednesday 16th with a Launch Party.

!CRASH!

The indie scene in Bath has been poorly represented since Resurrection
closed in May last year. Pulp and Go Ape are focussed on bands,
Entropy does it's best but we don't just play Indie music, and a few
DJs play a smattering of Indie at Discord and Seven but their remit is
much more metal/rock oriented.

Now a new, weekly night !CRASH! is starting at The Playground on
Monday 7th. Playing indie, pop and alt-beats DJs Beanz (Resurrection,
Fusion and Discord) and Liam (7 Crowns, Discord) will be aiming
squarely at the underrepresented indie crowd.

Rebellion

As if all of this wasn't enough ANOTHER Bath-based night is springing
up at babylon to replace Discord. Rebellion is a weekly alt-night on
Thursdays. Local DJs will be playing a mix of rock, punk, indie, punk,
ska and alternative tunes.

Doors open at 9.30pm and entry is FREE before then with a flier and up
to 4 after that (depending on the time you go and membership). I
imagine they'll have all of the old Discord drinks promos. Rebellion
kicks off on Thursday 3rd August.

Goth Friendly...

For those of us of the 'dark side' a new goth community has been
created online, and they aim to have monthly meet ups around Bath. the
first was in July and the next meet is on Wednesday 16th August at 8pm
in the Hobgoblin. You can join the community here:

There are only a handful of members so far but they're planning trips
to London clubs, Judder in Cheltenham and others so if you like the
sound of it and fancy a drink with like-minded people why not come along?

The Zone is back...

After shutting the Zone on Saturdays a few months back, Club UK in
Stokes Croft Bristol is back in the Alternative scene with a new
weekly alt-night GROUND ZERO. The music policy includes Industrial,
Mashup, Heavy Metal, Ska, Cyber EBM, and Tribal, as well as a
merchandise stall and local Bristol alternative DJs. Ground Zero is every
Saturday from 10pm until 3am, over 18s only at Club UK, Stokes Croft.
