   Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're
receiving this letter it's because this email address has been
subscribed to the Entropy Announce list. If you did not

ENTROPY THIS MONTH

There is no Entropy this month but we have some very good news. October
(as I'm sure some of you know) is Entropy's birthday month. This year
Entropy is FIVE years old and, as last year and the year before we'd
like to celebrate with a fancy dress night on a Saturday. So, we've
pulled out all the stops and will be running on SATURDAY 7th OCTOBER
from 8pm until 1am at THE PORTER BUTT on the London Road in Bath.

Yes, you heard it right. We're back at our spiritual home, the Porter
Butt. This year the fancy dress theme is MONSTERS. Dracula,
Frankenstein, King King, Godzilla - come as anything you like. There
will be prizes for the best few costumes. We're still sorting out the
DJ line up and will announce it as soon as we can.

If October goes well we could well be back at the Porter Butt on a
monthly basis once more.

ENTROPY LAST MONTH

Thanks to everyone who came along to Entropy at QTs nightclub last
month. As promised we played more Gothier tunes earlier on in the
night and plenty as the night went on. By the end of the night we were
playing dancy and indie tunes once more to a very happy dance floor.

NEWS THIS MONTH

It's Official: Call it QTs.

Over the last few months there have been posters for events at The
Playground (formerly Ts) under Pultney Bridge and QTs at the same
venue. After speaking to the owners of the club we can announce that
the official name is QTs Nightclub. From now on we won't be using "The
Playground" in any listings

Rebellion Crushed

Last month we announced that Discord was moving out of Babylon and
that a new Thursday alt-night was taking it's place: Rebellion. The
first night went well but before the next week's gig could kick off
Babylon was closed down. A short run, but you can't say there was ever
a bad one!

!CRASH! Launch Night Part Deux

We also announced the start of a new Indie/Pop night at QTs and a
number of people went down to the club to find the doors locked and
bolted. Speaking to Crash's organisers it seems that they told us the
wrong dates. Crash kicks off on Monday 25th September at QTs. Once
again a bunch of us will be going down and this time we're hoping for
an open door and some cracking tunes.

Pandora's Box is back.

A few months back the Pandora's Box organisers found out that they
were no longer going to be able to run at the Full Moon in Stokes
Croft. They assured me that "things were on the cards" and last month
they kicked off their first night in The Cavern, the cellar bar of The
Crown pub at the back of St Nick's Market in Bristol.

They hope that it will be a monthly night, on the last Saturday of
each month and this month that's Saturday 30th. DJs aNt (Elvira's),
Ali* (Goteki, Zone) and SGP (Zone) will be playing the best of Goth,
Indusrial, Electro, EBM, Nu wave and 80s tunes.

Curveball moved.

Curveball has been running most Saturdays over the summer at The Crown
pub in St Nick's Market, Bristol. It seems that they've lost their
regular slot but fans need not worry. Curveball is running on
Wednesday 6th September at The Hatchet, Frogmore St Bristol this
month. The same DJs playing the same great tunes between live bands.

Join the Resistance

Last month Ground Zero kicked off at Club UK in Stokes Croft
Bristol (replacing The Zone). This month sees the launch of
Resistance, upstairs at Club UK on the same night. Playing Metal,
Rock, Punk and Ska anthems with a touch of Dub it aims to widen the
music played at Club UK every Saturday giving more people something to
bounce around to.

On the launch night on Saturday 2nd local Bath DJs Lucky 13 (Seven)
and Judder will be playing and I'm told a host of Bathonions will be
heading over there to join them.

Trad Goth is Insidious

Those of a more 'traditional' Goth outlook might want to catch up with
Insidious in Bristol this month. I believe this is their second or
third month at The Cavern (Crown pub basement yet again) and they aim
to play more Trad Goth and Dark Industrial than gets played at many
clubs these days.
