   Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're

ENTROPY THIS MONTH

This month regular DJs Michael and Jim are joined once more by
EBM/Noise/Industrial DJ Juamei. Juamei last DJed for us at QTs night
club in August and is chomping at the bit to be let lose once more.

Doors open at 8pm on Saturday, 3rd September at the Porter Butt on the
London Road in Bath.

ENTROPY LAST MONTH

It's good to come home after a long time away, and that's how it felt
coming back to the Porter Butt after almost a year's absence. When we
finally found out that we could go back there it was a wave of
relief. Whilst running mid-week nights at QTs has been good fun, many
Entropy goers can't make it. Saturdays is where it's at.

And what a month to come back: our fifth birthday party. As with all
of our parties over the last few years this one was in fancy dress and
the theme was Monsters. The Hulk, Medusa, 50ft women, a giant octopus
and even Dr Harold Shipman (a very modern monster) made appearances,
all to typical Entropy sounds provided this month by Jim, Michael and
Ruth.

Thanks to everyone who came along. We hope to see you again soon.

NEWS THIS MONTH

Isis

A new shop has opened up, just down the cobbled road from The Raven
pub in Bath (for those that don't know The Raven stands on Queen St,
just around the corner from the main shopping street, Milsom St). ISIS
is selling a range of alternative clothing including corsets and
flowing 'gothic' dresses and gowns. They still stocking the shop so
they have much more to come. They also have perfumes, incense, tarot
and other alt-lifestyle things for sale. Why not pop in, browse around
and if asked mention the Entropy newsletter.

New Students, New Web site

Every year we see a new crop of students in October and a new face to
RockSoc, Bath University's rock and alt-music society. This year
they're giving the old web site a face lift. You can find the new site here:

When its complete it should have a calendar of events, as well as
forums for rock-chat and information about Rock events near you.

Reinventing Hell

As we mentioned last month, new Metal/Punk/Ska/Rock night kicks off on
November 4th. Doors open at Invention Studio (just behind the
Hobgoblin) at 8pm. The first band is on at 9pm and doors are open
until 1am.
