ENTROPY THIS MONTH

Doors open at 8pm on GOOD FRIDAY, 6th April at the Porter Butt
on the London Road in Bath. That's right: a FRIDAY! We're not on the
first Saturday of the month this month as the Porter Butt was booked
up. We'll be back in our usual slot from May until the end of the
year.

This month regular DJ Michael is joined by DJ Lucky 13 (Seven,
Hobgoblin) and DJ Jonny.

As most people know Lucky 13 is a fan of rock and The Metal, but will
be coming to Entropy fully embracing his new love of all things EBM
and Industrial thanks to the new Ignite night once monthy at the
Hobgoblin he co-DJs with DJ Davo who DJed for us last month.

DJ Jonny has been playing his indie tunes for many years, starting
back at the (now infamous) Nemesis alternative nights. Jonny last
played for us back in 2005 so it's a welcome return for an indie DJ we
don't see enough of.

As usual expect indie, some industrial and EBM, maybe a few rock and
cheesy metal songs and almost certainly more well known music as the
night draws to a close.

ENTROPY LAST MONTH

Its been a long time since we had a night as full as this
Entropy. Once again a few birthday parties decided they'd like to end
up dancing with us in the Porter Butt and a month of tireless
promotion got 'Entropy' back in people's minds once more. The night
filled up earlier than it usually does and just kept getting fuller!

Tunes from Dav0, Michael and Jim kept the dance floor moving and at
the end of the night noone wanted to leave! Thanks to everyone that
made it - hope you'll be coming back soon.

NEWS THIS MONTH

Flip!

There is a long tradition of midweek alternative nights in Bath. The
earliest I remember was the indie night at The Swamp (now Po Na Na's),
a club who's name gave you some idea of what it was like inside...
Since then we've had '@' and a number of Uni-inspired nights along
with a bunch of all too short lived alt-nights in town.

Thankfully people keep trying and the latest in a long line is Flip at
the Delfter Krug on Tuesdays. Like everything here in Bath, Entropy
peeps were the last to know and it's been going a while now. We
popped along and spent a good couple of hours bouncing around to a
good mix of indie and electro - the set list from that night is

Those that went had a cracking time and if you don't have to get up
too early on a Wednesday morning why not pop along and give it a try?

Fopp Venue

At the end of March the bar/cafe below the larger Fopp store in Bath
(downstairs in 5-10 Westgate Buildings) opened as a venue. They have a
16+ door policy but people who are lucky enough to look under 21
(don't we wish) may be asked for ID. A number of gigs are planned
there but the first we know about that may interest discerning Entropy
goers are those of Purr (formerly Moles and Invention Arts).
