ENTROPY THIS MONTH

On Saturday 4th August, regular Entropy DJ Jim is joined by Dav0
(Discord, Ignition), who's fast becoming a regular DJ himself, and
Wendy. Back when we started Entropy Wendy used to DJ for us monthly
and its good to have her back again, even if it's for one night only.

ENTROPY LAST MONTH

Last month's Entropy was the first in a post-smoking-ban England and
we were all interested to see how things would turn out. The Porter
Butt arranged a smoking area outside the back door (where many people
went to cool down and smoke anyway) and have trialled it over the last
month but we didn't know if not being able to smoke would make a real
difference.

It didn't. Whilst not our busiest night, we still had plenty of people
come along and Dav0, Jim and Michael soon had the room bouncing.

NEWS THIS MONTH

Infest

Yes... it's that time of year: Infest is back again. The University of
Bradford Student Union will play host to the UK's largest industrial
festival on August 24th-26th. For those unlucky enough to want to go
but not have tickets already, the Infest official website informs us
that no tickets are left at any official ticket vendor - you'll have
to look elsewhere.

HMV Buys Fopp

After last month's surprise closure of all of the Fopp stores we've
all been waiting to hear any new news about our local shops. Today HMV
bought the rights to the Fopp brand and will reopen six of the shops -
in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Covent Garden, Manchester, Nottingham and
Cambridge... no news on the Bath stores unfortunately.

Hayseed Dixie

Fans of the Rockgrass AC/DC tribute band will be happy to hear that
Hayseed Dixie are touring once more. They'll be playing the Cheese and
Grain in Frome on Thursday 30th August. Contact their website for full
details, we believe tickets are still available for £16 per person.
