[Entropy] Newsletter, January 2008
Dear All,
Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're receiving
this letter it's because this email address has been subscribed to the
Entropy Announce list. If you did not subscribe, or wish to unsubscribe,
please email jim.grimmett@curiosity-shoppe.com and Jim will remove you
from the list.
ENTROPY IN 2008
As is our tradition, there is no Entropy in January. There will be an
Entropy on the first Saturday of every month starting on Saturday 2nd
February at the Porter Butt on the London Road.
This year is a leap year and that the second Entropy will be on
Saturday 1st March.
ENTROPY IN 2007
All in all 2007 was Entropy's best year so far. We had some of the
fullest, loudest and most fun Entropy nights since we started back in
2001. In contrast we had a couple of pretty empty nights but that
happens every year and people still came along and had fun!
Our birthday fancy dress night went better than ever before with some
outstanding costumes. It'll be fun trying to better that in 2008.
I hope to get a gallery of costume photos up on the website in the
next couple of weeks. Ideas for this year's party are very welcome...
Davo started DJing for us back in March and has pretty much become the
most regular of our irregular local DJ helpers. We also had sets from
locals Roper, Lucky 13, Mike (from Abnormal), Juamei and Ruth. Former
regular Wendy came back for an evening and indie DJ Jonny came back
from the south coast for a night. We also can't forget the flying
visits of Lee Chaos (Judder, Wasp Factory) and Nick (Wendyhouse) that
helped make our birthday party such a success.
Fliers have taken a leap forward in style this year thanks to the work
of David Harris-James. I'll be getting all of the flier designs up on
the web site in the next week or so.
We also started our own online shop where you can buy Entropy branded
T-shirts, some of Dave's designs and a few 'special' ones. We'll be
adding more designs and merch to the shop over the coming months.

To finish, a quick thanks to everyone that helped set up, worked on the
door, DJed or just came along and paid the entry fee. HUGE thanks go
to Ian and Julian for the use of the Resurrection sound system. Without
all of these people Entropy just would not happen. I hope you all feel
like doing it all again in 2008!
NEWS THIS MONTH
Propaganda has moved!
Bristol's Propaganda has moved from the Panace club to Syndicate on
Nelson Street in the city centre. Its only a short walk from the
previous venue and the entry prices have all stayed the same. Full
