  Welcome once more to the Entropy news letter. If you're receiving

END OF AN ERA?

If you haven't already heard, the Porter Butt will be closing its doors on
the 9th of December. All we've been told so far is that the Brewery are
shutting, and then selling the pub. This means that November and December
will be the last two Entropys at the Porter Butt.

We've been running Entropy at the Porter Butt on and off since May 2003
and last time we had to look for another venue (when the licensing law 
change
came in) it took us a while to find anywhere and we weren't that happy with 
it.
We were exstatic when we could move back to the Porter Butt.

To mark this tumultuous change we'll be doing something a little different 
in
December and hosting a second fancy dress night this year. The theme will
be "Entropy Birthday Themes". We've had Brian Blessed night, Monsters
and Villains, 80's TV Heroes, Science Fiction and Pirates and Ninjas. If you
fancy giving an old costume an outing, or making something new you wish
you'd thought of at the time then December is your chance.

We will be looking for another venue and, at the very worst, will find 
somewhere
to run Entropy in October next year. We'll keep you all up to date when we 
do.

ENTROPY THIS MONTH

This month Jim and Michael are joined by Bristol DJ Ant (Pandora's Box,
Elvira's) for an evening of alternative tunes. Expect the usual mix of 
indie,
goth, industrial, a little 80s, and maybe a few pop and cheesy tunes as
the night draws to a close.
